Constantin Baraschi

Constantin Baraschi was a Romanian sculptor, member of the Romanian Academy, one of the most expressive sculptural art masters, highlighted by a correct rendering of the human anatomy.

Constantin Baraschi was rector at the Institute of Fine Arts in Bucharest, and the only Romanian sculptor who wrote a treatise on sculpture

He won the Gold Medal at the International Exhibition in Paris (1937), Romanian Academy Award for Sculpture (1938), Silver Medal for sculpture „Saint George” (1940) and the title Honored Master of Art (1951).
