Bob Smith (born 18 November 1951, USA) has been a comic-book artist since the early 1970s. He works primarily as an inker but sometimes pencils and occasionally writes.
After a few stories in “Star*Reach” and “Crazy”, Smith worked primarily at DC Comics from 1976 to about 2001. He also appeared in a few issues from First Comics, Kitchen Sink Press, Renegade Press, Apple Press, Dark Horse, and Malibu.
He began to appear in Archie Comics titles from 1998. He continued to ink “Batman: Gotham Adventures” at DC Comics until the series ended in 2003, but otherwise he has worked primarily at Archie since 2002. He has also appeared in a few Bongo comics, some humor and super-hero comics for DC, and more recently in comics from Charlton Neo.
Smith also began inking the daily and Sunday “Archie” newspapers strips, over pencils by Fernando Ruiz. He continued until new material for the strips ended in 2011.
