Jean-Pierre Dionnet (born 25 November 1947, France) is a comics writer and editor.

He began writing stories for “Pilote” in 1971, working with artists such as Philippe Druillet and Jacques Tardi.

In 1975, he joined with Druillet, Moebius (Jean Giraud), and Bernard Farkas to start the magazine “Métal Hurlant”. Dionnet was the editor-in-chief until 1985. He also wrote features such as ‘Exterminateur 17’, with art by Enki Bilal.

In the 1990s he wrote comics such as “L’Île aux Amazones”, with art by Denis Sire.

Dionnet is also active in television as both a producer and an actor.
