Vincent van Gogh’s Reminiscence of Brabant
Originally shared by Van Gogh Museum
This landscape was done during one of Vincent van Gogh’s periodic relapses when he stayed in the psychiatric hospital in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. Vincent could not go outside, so he had to come up with other subject matter, including several ‘reminiscences’ of his native Brabant region.
