Memoriam Spotlight: Frank Sinatra is best known for his incredible voice and singular phrasing, but he also proved himself to be a fabulous actor. Beginning with roles that mostly played off his status as popular singer, he was gradually given more challenging roles, winning an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor in 1953’s „From Here To Eternity”. While adept at comedy, and his legacy is filed with lighter fare, Francis Albert showed what he could do with solid roles like „The Man With The Golden Arm” (1955), „The Manchurian Candidate” (1962), and „Von Ryan’s Express” (1965).
