Westminster Abbey

Originally shared by Larry Williams

„Westminster Abbey was consecrated #onthisday in 1065. Every English (and later British) monarch since 1066 has been crowned here, and it is one of the most iconic buildings in Britain. The Abbey contains the tombs of kings and queens, as well as memorials to famous Britons including Isaac Newton and Charles Darwin.”
