John Jackson Miller (born 12 January 1968, USA) is a comic book writer and novelist, and a comics-industry researcher and commentator.
After being active in the mini-comics scene when he was younger, he became editor of “Comics Retailer” in 1993. He expanded the magazine’s coverage in 2001 and renamed it “Comics & Games Retailer”.
He became managing editor of “Comics Buyer’s Guide” (Krause) in 1998, and did other editing there. His research into comics circulation history has been published in CBG and now in the “Standard Catalog of Comic Books”.
Miller wrote a “Crimson Dynamo” mini-series at Marvel (2003–2004) and had a run on “Iron Man” in 2004. At Dark Horse, he wrote the entire “Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic” series (2006–2010) and continued to write other Star Wars titles.
