Elizabeth Hand (born 29 March 1957, USA) is an author of fantasy, science fiction, and other works. She published her first short story in 1988 and first novel in 1990.

For the 1993 ‘Bloodlines’ mini-series and cross-over event at DC Comics, she and Paul Witcover created and wrote ‘Anima’, initially drawn by Malcolm Davis. Anima is a somewhat mystical super-hero who came out of the event with her own series (1993–1995).

In her prose career, Hand has won the Tiptree Award and the Mythopeic Fantasy Award. She has won Nebula, Hugo, and World Fantasy Awards.
