International Day of Reflection on the Genocide in Rwanda
Originally shared by United Nations
Friday is the International Day of Reflection on the Genocide in Rwanda, marking 23 years since the start date of the genocide in which more than 800,000 people were systematically murdered over a period of just 100 days.
The vast majority of victims were Tutsi, but moderate Hutu, Twa and others were also targeted.
