Today’s Memory – Marius Bunescu

Marius Bunescu

Marius Bunescu was a Romanian painter, organizer of the National Museum of Art, and director of the Anastase Simu Museum.

He studied painting in Berlin with Hermann Groeber in whom workshop he completed his training.

Landscape at FloreascaHere he assimilates the impressionism in the German version and practiced it for a while, but soon is released of this influence.

LandscapeHe debuted in 1911, at the Official Hall in Bucharest, with five artworks that it sells, and his first solo exhibition was open in 1919, at the Minerva library.
