Meryl Streep

Mary Louise Streep is an American actress who has worked in theater, television, and film. She is regarded as one of the most talented actors of the modern era.

She made her stage debut in Trelawny of the Wells in 1975. In 1976, she received a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Play for 27 Wagons Full of Cotton and A Memory of Two Mondays. In 1977, she made her screen debut in the television film The Deadliest Season, and also made her film debut in Julia. In 1978, she won an Emmy Award for her role in the miniseries Holocaust, and received her first Academy Award nomination for The Deer Hunter. Streep went on to win the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for Kramer vs. Kramer (1979),

Meryl Streep is also a good singer, she made great roles in Music of the Heart (1999), Mamma Mia! (2008), Ricki and the Flash (2015), etc.

Streep has received 19 Academy Award nominations, winning three, and 29 Golden Globe nominations, winning eight, more nominations than any other actor in the history of either award. Her work has also earned her two Emmy Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, a Cannes Film Festival Award, five New York Film Critics Circle Awards, two BAFTA awards, etc. President Barack Obama awarded her the 2010 National Medal of Arts.
